Student must commit to six weeks.

EU students will help in the afterschool program which provides social emotional learning in a grades 1-4 curriculum. SEL is specifically woven into the art programming for children. This program offers tools to help children succeed through learning a basis of transferable skills of social emotional learning through art.

OWN HOURS:

Monday-Friday options, availability from 7am - 12pm;

Front Desk Assistant

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | 8am - 12pm Our De-Escalation Specialist manages the bathroom keys and showers for our guests and hands out clothes, hygiene products, and other free items. Assisting her would be really helpful.  Depending on the day, we could also use help organizing donations and restocking.

Breakfast Assistant

Thursdays and/or Fridays | 7am - 8am Our cook does the prep and cooking, but he always appreciates help serving. Tasks may include filling up utensils and napkins, getting a serving dish, pouring drinks, toasting bread, or handing out food.

Must be 18 years old or older.

Connecting Older Adults with Volunteers Chore Connection offers a wide array of volunteer services to eligible seniors throughout Delaware County: from driving to appointments, minor home repair, and yardwork to shopping and friendly visits Students will be responsible for contacting the site coordinator to set up your availability. Check with site regarding weather-related closures.

• We go to Philadelphia every Thursday and Saturday to feed and spend time with the homeless in the area. Our goal is to feed them physically, spiritually, and to build relationships.

• Pack lunches and minister to the homeless of Philadelphia with this Eastern campus ministry.  Orientation will take place 30 minutes before the start time of outings on the first week.

VAN: Friday 3:30-9:00pm, assigned by leaders, 10 service spots. 2.5 hours per Friday outing. Other meetings as announced by Prison Ministry leadership.

We have various outing in which we meet people affected by the prison system and support them through fellowship and spending time with them. Some of our outings include going to a youth detention center and a halfway house.

• Plan (on campus) and participate in a variety of prison ministry opportunities throughout the week.

• Music and/or speaking skills preferred. Students must be 18 or older and have no relatives in the House of Corrections. Cannot wear jewelry, hooded sweatshirts or open toed shoes.
