Opportunities From: Eastern University - Service Learning Portal

OWN HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday 3:00-6:00pm, 3 service learning hours per week, up to 4 service spots per day. 

Student must commit to six weeks.

EU students will help in the afterschool program which provides social emotional learning in a grades 1-4 curriculum. SEL is specifically woven into the art programming for children. This program offers tools to help children succeed through learning a basis of transferable skills of social emotional learning through art.

Background checks and clearances REQUIRED.

Dates:

Start Date: orientation week of September 22, program week of October 6

End Date: week of December 1

Closed Dates: EU breaks (Fall Free Days - October 4-7) and Thanksgiving Break - November 26-30). Check with site for closed holidays and weather-related closures.

BUS/VAN: Sundays 10/12 and 12/7 ONLY, 12:30-5:00pm, 4 service learning hours per visit, 8 service spots
