Who We Are
UrbanPromise Ministries has been in Camden for 25 plus years. We offer after school programs, summer camps, two schools and many other services to our community and our students. UrbanPromise also employs Camden teenagers in our programs giving the opportunity to work and receive job training.
Volunteers are a large part of our success. Volunteers partner with our students, help in our after school and summer camp programs giving our children much needed love and attention.
What We Do
• Morning: Working in Christian elementary or high school.
• Afternoon: Help with homework and lead games at a Christian afterschool program.
• Saturdays: serve in UrbanPromise Food Co-op
• 45 min from EU campus in urban setting.
Requirements:
- volunteer application
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
- Federal Criminal History Record Check (FBI Fingerprinting) OR Affidavit of PA Residency for 10+ years
