Who We Are

Mission Kids is Montgomery County’s Child Advocacy Center. When a child discloses abuse in Montgomery County, the Police Department may refer the case to Mission Kids for a forensic interview. Our goal is to ensure that the child only has to share their story once, with one trained professional, to reduce the risk of retraumatization. Mission Kids follows a multidisciplinary model that places the child at the center of everything we do. We partner with law enforcement, prosecutors, social services, pediatricians, mental health providers, forensic interviewers, and family advocates to make sure each child receives the highest level of care. We also provide a safe, child-friendly environment where families can access the resources and services, they need to support their child’s healing and well-being.
